Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman

I walked into the gym yesterday afternoon to pick Salem up from daycare, and one of her caregivers said, "You have quite the little doctor living under your roof!" Me: "Uuuuhhhhhhhhh......what do you mean by that?" I was then told that Salem RUNS to the stethoscope after she arrives, puts it in her ears, places it on Abbey's (daycare provider) chest, and makes the sound " bump-bump, bump-bump", like the beating of a heart. Now how in the hell does my child know such a thing? She must have picked it up from the older kids there because until today, we didn't play with such things because I thought it was a little advanced for her age. I, of course, had to put such a skill level to test today; so I purchased a complete doctors kit and let her have at it. Yep, she does exactly that! This evening, she followed Lilly around listening to her heart, and then she would run to her note pad and scribble down notes each time. What a crack up! I even captured the initial facial expressions of her realizing what greatness just happened to her when mommy gave her such prized possessions. Enjoy!



God, if she becomes a doctor later on in life, just imagine the shit she'll get being "Dr. Quinn."





Oh, and poor Lilly dog! She lets Salem do anything and everything to her.
