7 Jocks and a New Mom

Yesterday, I competed in the annual Rambler 120; which is a race that consists of a 26 mile bike, 61/2 mile run, and a 2 mile row. I was on a relay team of 8 (5 dudes/3
chicks) and my portion was 18 miles of the bike, 5K run, and the 2 mile
row. We had such a great time competing and am incredibly looking
forward to the race next year. My only regret was being on a relay
team. Every one was great, I just wish that I would have done THE
ENTIRE race instead of only 4 out of the 6 heats. 8 more miles on the
bike and another 3 on the run wouldn't have done me in . I've signed up
with anXtreme Team for next years race along with other triathlon events held within Texas.

Oh, and I wasn't the New Mom ( 7 Jocks and a New Mom was our team name)....my girlfriend Farrah had a baby boy 3 months ago!

So how did you meet all those people and get involved? I'm definitely feeling more guilty now for just having consumed and entire box of Rosemary Triscuits while watching the Today Show. Now I guess I should exercise. Dammit.

I was so upset when I got your message about us being on a team together because I knew I had reserves that weekend. I first read about it back in Feb when they first advertised about it at Randolph. Hopefully next years race won't be during a reserve weekend and I'll be able to participate.
Which one was the new mom?

The two other females are married to pilots in Andrew's squadron. The far left one, Farrah, is also active duty and she works with all the guys that were on our team. She is also the "New Mom!"

How cute are you guys!! Very cool that you did it at all. Bummer about all the sweating later, too bad it wasn't "good" fun sweating :0)
