A little bit of Ft. Worth Action

Salem and I pressed to Ft. Worth EARLY Saturday morning (4 AM), to meet
up with Andrew. His squadron took all the pilots/jets up for a
"hurricane exercise." Uummmm .....the weekend was actually full of
eating, drinking friends, and fun, and had absolutely NOTHING to do
with how they would get the jets to and from San Antonio or whatever it
is they were practicing. Regardless, we were able to stay at a
BEAUTIFUL hotel downtown Ft. Worth and grub out at some delicious Mexican food
places...my favorite! Every single meal I ate there was at a Mexican
food joint; I obviously couldn't get enough of it, but am paying for it
now. I can almost see the 10 lbs. of chips and salsa I ate sitting in
my stomach.

Andrew's BFF/roommate/ best man in our wedding,
Kevin Schultz and his family, drove in from Shepard to pay us a visit.
It is always great catching up with such close friends and pigging out
on chips and salsa while we do it! Their 2 kids enjoyed playing with
"Baby Salem" (that is what they kept running around and calling her..it
was so sweet!), and we took them to the pool to release all the built
up energy from spending hours in a vehicle. We were sad to have to see
them go. Please come visit us..SOON!!!

We also visited the Ft. Worth Stockyards just to say we've been there and done that.
I will say that I love how the streets are still brick and "old time" looking. I'm sure the night life is kickin'
there, but really, not much else to see. There were about 669 tourist
shops, that all had the EXACT same shit in them to buy. After that
weekend, I think I've had and seen enough Hook 'em Horns shit to last
me a lifetime. Every where I turned I thought I would see Val pop
up with her infamous horns sign that she proudly displays in almost
every picture... I love that about you Ms. Texas, I mean, Valerie.

We super, super, duper, enjoyed ourselves, and it is always so lovely to
have a short weekend getaway here and there. If any of you out there
ever plan on hitting up the downtown Ft. Worth area, I highly, highly,
recommend MiCocinas Cantina for some top of the line Mexican food. It is literally THE BEST food Andrew and I have both ever had...hands down!

Now, I leave you with a picture that I took this weekend of the twins!

It looks like you all had a blast! The Stockyards are fun. It has been a while since we were there, but Hayden had the time of his life on the ponies. Love Salems binkini!!

Oh my god. Was Andrew posing? Or did that photo just seriously turn out like twins? That is so funny. They totally do look alike!

Your vacation looked like tons of fun--minus the getting up at 4 a.m. thing!

Ummmm....No, Andrew was NOT posing, believe it or not. They do that ALL the time. They constantly have the same facial expressions and what have you. Maybe great minds really do think alike!

Salem always looks so adorable. Love her bikini. She looks like she is strutting her stuff in the one picture from behind. Yes, that's the twins Andrew and Andi--amazing how they look so much alike and they make those goofy faces at the sametime! I love you guys and I miss you!!
Love, YaYa

Aww, thanks for thinking of me, Noel :0) Sounds like you had a really good time. Geez, I felt like it was forever ago that you told me y'all would be going there. Time sure is flying by. Oh, and I love that brown dress on Salem. Of course she is always super adorable, but I just LOVE that brown dress. This one's for you....
