Wassilfest/Austin/Birthday
Daddy is looking so I'm not going to look at mommy taking my picture
Oh, Oh, Daddy looked away... hurry, now you can take my picture!!!
She loves her new Puma shoes and kept showing them off to every one at the park
Yesterday was THE BIG DAY. I turned 25 years old.....yikes!!! Even though the day SUCKED because I turned a year older, there were many, many more things to be thankful for:
1) My insurance went down!!! After having various criminal speeding tickets (25 over the speed limit) from back in the day and being hit by a drunk driver (yes, even though I was the victim, that jackass still made my insurance go through the roof); it will be nice to have a little slack.
2) This should have been #1 but I got carried away there for a minute.
Andrew took the day off of work and took Salem and I to Austin for a day full of fun activities. We took her to a park where she had an absolute blast, and we had THE most delicious lunch at my favorite Austin restaurant, Hula Hut!
I want Salem to sport hair like this kid has....when she gets hair on her head!
3) After that, he took me to the mall....what isn't there to love about that? He even parked near the NORDSTORM'S SHOE DEPARTMENT. He must really love me to do such a thing. I'm sure, deep down, he was sweating it, but he wouldn't show it. I went easy on him and walked out of the mall bagless...can you believe it?
4) We raced home, only to have time to change for the local Wassilfest. For those of you who are unfamiliar what Wassil is, it is a cider and New Braunfels happens to shut down the streets one night a year to host an annual Wassilfest where all the local businesses compete for the title of #1 Wassil. I was super excited about this because we had heard from friends of ours that you could choose between "loaded" or "unloaded" wassil. I thought I was going to get schnockered on loaded wassil, but the rumor ended up not being true. So, instead, I drank a shit ton of liquor free wassil and had a great time with my family and some of our dearest friends! We've decided that we're going to make our own wassil loaded next year by bringing a flask with us. If only we would have thought of this sooner!
Not a great picture, but this house is BEAUTIFUL and one of the Wassil stops
Me and my girlfriend Dawn
This was my kind of Santa. He was carrying around a Santa bag full of beer!!
I love the way they did the lights on the Courthouse downtown
Now, these people we don't even know. We happened to be leaving Wassilfest last night when I ran into these two people who were making out against a wall. Talk about white trash. The man looks like he's old enough to be the elf's dad. Yuck...just the thought of this pretty girl sticking her tongue down this toothless, trailer trash, nasty ass looking guy makes me want to vomit wassil.
Even better, there were so excited that I asked to have my picture taken with them!

Happy birthday! Zilker Park? And Hula Hut? Sounds PERFECT. I can't believe you didn't buy any shoes. You have lost your mind!
I really admire how y'all do so many cool things--even after having a baby. That is awesome!
Glad you had a good birthday! The big 2-5! Unbelievable!
