Potty Training
Salem has been showing interest in wanting to go potty like a big girl, so here we go!!!! I by NO means want to force it on her, for she is still very young and I would hate for her to regress down the road. She will often go #2 in the pink potty, but going wee-wee is a different story; maybe once or twice. But hey, it's a start! I love this stage and look forward to helping her along the way through this major milestone in a child's life!
At Target the other day, I happened to come across the cutest, most feminine, princess panties I have ever seen and immediately snagged them up for her; only to find her screaming next and pointing at the ones SHE wanted. I was not pleased when I looked up only to find that the ones she was having a blown out fit over were...ELMO. They scare me , are too loud, and even though they're girly ones, I still hate them.
You thought I got out of there with only the ones SHE wanted...WRONG!!!!
But, I did it. I bought them for her with a smile on my face and she held them in her hands the entire afternoon as if they were precious gold. It made her day, and that made my day seeing her eager to want to sit on the potty and not get Elmo dirty. I also purchased her an Elmo dvd on potty training, which seems to also be helping. She jumps for joy when I tell her we're going somewhere because she loves watching it in the car.
So what's next for me? Dora products? Strawberry Shortcake shoes? I won't be able to handle this.

Good for Salem and great for you! Good Luck!
Woohoo Salem!! She looks so pourd - and to be that proud of a new item of clothing - she must be her momma's daughter :0)
proud. I meant to say proud.
Whoo-hoo, Salem is a big girl! This is only the beginning of the tug-a-war that will go on with clashing over clothing. Gee, I wonder who will win the most...Salem! You wait and see.
Love, YaYa
Oh MAN. I wish we were having more luck on the potty training front. It is NOT PRETTY over here. In fact, I'm about to jump off the roof if I hear "I tee teed on the floor!" one more time. I mean it.
Abigail totally has the same potty. I love it ans the mess is nil. Our latest venture is Care Bears and her fav My Little Pony, which she calls ponkas. Her 2nd b-day, next week, will be in the ponka theme!
