ALVINNNNNNNN!!

I took these pictures of Salem a few weeks back when she was having a little snack. Doesn't it remind you of Alvin and the Chipmunks? What ever happened to those guys anyways? I grew up watching that show. Does anyone else get sad when they reminisce about their childhood(s)? I just feel like I'm getting old, so damn fast. I think having children just makes you realize how fast time truly does fly because they are ever changing.

I want to know every one's favorite childhood memory. Mine would have to be going on ski trips with my family and not having a worry in the world. I miss having the innocence of a child.

You hit the nail on the head! I totally view time/people/life/generations in a whole new way post-baby. But, I think you are right about the babies changing all the time that highlights it!

My favorite childhood memories are of playing outside in the neighborhood with about 16 other kids--I was the oldest and the bossiest. (no suprise there). We used to take chalk rocks and draw out architectural floor plans on my driveway and play house on them. Weird, but fun.

Lately my two boys have tuned into Cartoon Network where they play all of the old cartoons. Who would have thought my own kids would be watching Wacky Racers, Grape Ape, and Penelope PitStop. They look nothing like the computer generated cartoons we have today courtesy of Pixar animation.

I remember running, literally, nonstop all day long around our neighborhood. Never really worried about anyone taking us or anything. When it got dark the porch light would start to flash and you knew it was time to go home, or else my mom would whistle and you could hear it a mile away. I never have figured out how she did that!

ALVIN!!!!!
Too funny. She looks like little Alvin Andy. You & your brother grew up too fast! Enjoy every minute with her and keep a journal.

XOXO, Mommie

We rode horses a lot....and when we weren't riding them we were brushing them, trimming hooves or just loving on them. I miss that alot.
Chipmunks, I have some of their christmas songs on my phone. My sister still has the albums!! Love it.

I miss being so carefree... playing softball in the backyard, riding my bike around the neighborhood, having slumber parties, and playing barbies with my sister.
I was pushing my DOUBLE stroller in the mall a few months ago and walked by a bunch of teenagers hanging out at the movie theater. How OLD that made me feel! They looked so young to me.
Love the picts of Salem!
It was good talking to you the other week Noel! :)

My favorite memories are playing outside - but I also must say that I don't feel old at all until I see a stranger's picture in the paper and think to myself "She looks old!" and then read that she's my age. That and seeing old friends from high school at the 10 year reunion a few years ago. They looked older and that made me feel old. Depressing is what it is.

Alvin and the Chipmucks, maybe....Andrew, definitely!

My favorite childhood memory is probably ski trips in the winter and then camping trips in the summer. And being almost an only child (my sister is 10 years older) I was always allowed to bring a friend.

Actually, I just saw it on tv a few weeks ago. I was super excited because I LOVED that show.

When I think back a few things that always bring a smile to my face are...
Living in Corpus Christi and playing outside with my sisters, flying kites at shoreline park, Sunday morning cartoons and pig-out days with my mother when the 2 of us would sit infront of the tv with one thing of my choice and spend a fun time together. I loved it because usually we'd eat super healthy.
Living in Houston and going swimming in our pool everyday until my feet peeled, racing the kids on the block down the street and our family park days.

That was fun to write about...thanks, Noel :0)
