How Often?

Okay, there is no right or wrong answers to any of these, but I'm interested in knowing how often others do some of the various things listed below. For example, when I mop my floors twice a week (mop, not swiffer), I'm constantly thinking to myself, "Geez, I wonder if I should be doing this ass pain chore more often, less, when do other people do it?" It's always a difficult task to get done because I have to vacuum the entire house before Salem goes down for a nap or bedtime, then bust out the mop while she's sleeping. Oh, and keeping Lilly out of the tile areas in between all of that is also a chore in itself. So, with that HOW OFTEN:

*Do you vacuum?Mop?
*Change the tip of your mop out?
*Change your dish scrubber out?
*Wash your sheets?
*Clean and wash your vehicles?
*Dust your fans/blinds?
*Wash your towels?

Non-cleaning related ?'s

*Get your hair done?
*Get a pedicure?
*Massage?

There are a million and one ?'s I would love to ask, but I figured I would just ask a few.

My answers are:
*I vacuum and mop 2 x's a week. I change the tip out every four or five weeks.
*I change my dish scrubber out every other week; however, I put it in the dishwasher whenever I run a load to disinfect it.
*Wash our sheets once a week, towels twice.
*Oh, are vehicles are BAD. We wash the Subaru maybe once a month, and Andrew's every other month. I know, that's bad!
*Dust the fans and blinds once a month
*I get my hair colored and cut every 8 weeks
*Pedicure at a salon once or twice a year
*Massage-once or twice a year

*Do you vacuum? a little bit every day, not the whole house.
Mop? Once a week.
*Change the tip of your mop out? when it's really gross (I use a sponge mop)
*Change your dish scrubber out? when it's really gross - but I also use cloths instead of a sponge a lot and those get thrown in the laundry room nightly
*Wash your sheets? Every few weeks
*Clean and wash your vehicles? I did just vacuum out mine - but it hasn't been washed in about a year
*Dust your fans/blinds? I dust the fans when I dust the room and see dust on it. I dust the blinds when we move - or if I get upset and have to clean something!
*Wash your towels? once a week or so. I judge by smell.

Non-cleaning related ?'s

*Get your hair done? every 6 months
*Get a pedicure? Huh?
*Massage? what?

aren't those last two things special once in a lifetime treats? I had a manicure on a special outing with a friend before she moved once, and a massage as a special treat at a friend's birthday party.

Remember, I go for the lived in look at my house ;0) And I refuse to dust. I will probably dust this week since it has gotten out of hand, but it piles up so fast around here!!!

vacuum? Since being pregnant, almost every day, but before probaly twice a week.

Mop? I don't own a mop, I swiffer weekly. We don't wear shoes in the house, so I figure it is probably ok to let it go a bit.

*Change your dish scrubber out? I have two stages of scrubber. One that is used for hand wash items and one to get stuck on stuff before hitting the dishwasher. After a week (longer if I haven't been doing many hand wash items) the hand wash becomes the scummy one and the scummy one hits the trash.

*Wash your sheets? Weekly

*Clean and wash your vehicles? When we get our oil changed they wash it. We haven't cleaned it, as in vaccum in a while. We keep talking about it though, does that count?

*Dust your fans/blinds? We don't have blinds and we only have one ceiling fan that we never use, so hardly ever. When I can see the dust?!

*Wash your towels? Weekly, gotta love the desert!

*Get your hair done? Can't wait to have my hair texture back. I haven't bothered cutting more than twice since being preggers since it is uncooperative anyway.

*Get a pedicure? Used to be once a month before I stopped working. Boo. Now maybe a couple times a year.

*Massage? I used to go often when my dear friend Megan lived here and hooked me up with free/cheap massage. She needs to come back!

Oh God. I'm scared to examine this too deeply. You MOP twice a week? Seriously? Dude. Either you have OCD, or I'm living in complete sqaulor....here goes...

*Do you vacuum?Mop? I dust bust the kitchen floor every other day. I vacuum once a week or so (used to be every other day when our dog was alive). Mopping? Ummmm...does Swiffering count? I do that every once in a while. I bust out the real mop only when I HAVE TO. If my shoe sticks to the floor I decide it is probably time. Like, once a month. Another benefit of hideous black plastic floors in the kitchen!

*Change the tip of your mop out? Ummmm. What? Every two years when we move and I buy a new one? I have a sponge one. Am I supposed to be changing this? Shit.

*Change your dish scrubber out? This I do OFTEN. Like, once a week. One of my biggest pet peeves is anything remotely nasty near the kitchen sink.

*Wash your sheets? Not really sure. Sometimes once a week, sometimes every two.

*Clean and wash your vehicles? Never. Like, seriously, NEVERRRRRRRR. I want to have a complete car detailing before the next baby is born. John sometimes vacuums my car out and is horrified by what he finds under the car seat. I just don't look back there.

*Dust your fans/blinds? Ummmm...when I see giant piles of dust. So, like...every two months?

*Wash your towels? Once or twice a week.

*Get your hair done?
Every two months or so.

*Get a pedicure?
Currently every couple weeks because it is summer and I can't bend down to do it myself anymore!

*Massage?
Once a year or so.

Wow. I guess I should go upstairs and, like, mop or something.I still don't know what the hell I"m supposed to be doing with my wood floors.

Katie-
They do make a Swiffer product especially for wood floors. I used to use it in AK, and it worked well. Sure, it would leave some streaks, but hey, it was EASY!

Good questions.
*Do you vacuum?Mop? Just about everyday. With a golden it is a must. Mop, I was doing it once a week, but since the summer and being gone, every couple of weeks. I don't own a mop, I have a pair of gloves, a sponge and a bowl of murphy's oil soap.
*Change the tip of your mop out? no mop
*Change your dish scrubber out? When it doesn't get clean after a dishwasher run.
*Wash your sheets? Not so great. About every two weeks. The girls are one week and our sheets the next.
*Clean and wash your vehicles? Well, my dad just came out for a visit and washed and waxed the Expedition and car. Otherwise, maybe once every two months (actually more in the winter to get the salt off)
*Dust your fans/blinds? once a month or when I see they need them.
*Wash your towels? once a week.

Non-cleaning related ?'s

*Get your hair done? Everytime I go home to visit my family, I go to my hairdresser. It averages to be once every 2 to 3 months.
*Get a pedicure? I have had one in my lifetime.
*Massage? A couple a year.

hey mama...

vacuum?...way way less than I should

change the tip of my mop?...we only swiffer, but once we get a dog I won't, because there were a bunch of articles about animal poisoning and my bunny died of toxic poisoning due to either the swiffer or other chemical cleaning products around the house

dish scrubber?...like once a week, because I hate that mildew smell that they get after a while and it makes me gag...haha

wash the sheets?...once a week

clean and wash the vehicles?...12 bucks for a car wash and I wipe it out every so often...i don't really clean it, because everytime I do it rains the next day

dust fans and blinds?...every week...i have to because i have bad allergies

wash towels?...it's random. I throw them in with the regular wash, but i don't ever really wash them all together

get my hair done?...every 2 months for color and every 4 months for a cut...but I cut my own bangs

get a pedicure? every other week

massage? mmm alot before the wedding for nots, but normally never I just use icy hot haha

Noel, that is what I use on the wood floors...the swiffer wood floor stuff. But I can't believe that is really all they need. I feel like I should do something more.....but what?
