Text: GET A LIFE LOSER!

I was at the gym yesterday and I couldn't help but notice the homo texting his friends while he was trying to get an ab work out in. Guess what? It wasn't working out very well for him, imagine that! He would crunch a time or two and then have to stop to correct his mistakes.

I just DON'T understand the whole text message craze. It is the most annoying thing to try and hold a conversation with someone sitting in front of your face while they are sending a message to a friend to let them know that they're thinking of them. Isn't that sweet? It is so rude and I hate that people say it is a time saver. That is BULLSHIT. I can say: "Like Oh My God, what are you wearing tonight?", a hell of a lot faster than I can type it. Time saver, give me a flippin' break.

Back to the loser at the gym. Why bother even coming to the gym? Did he really think he was breaking a sweat doing so?
Can anyone out there please explain this whole thing to me? It is taking over the world. I have friends, friends I tell you, that say they text over 100 messages a day. What? Over a 100 messages a day! How do they get anything else done? Explain, explain, explain this nonsense to me!

Is He 12 or 31?

Yesterday, was Andrew's 31st birthday!!! He took the day off to spend
it with us, but things didn't go as planned; they never do with kids.
We had big plans to go toSchlitterbahn , but they were closed, Sea
World...they were also closed, and then, Salem came down with an ear
infection. So, instead, we spent his big day getting her into the
doctor and comforting her. Poor thing. There is NOTHING worse than
seeing your child not feel well. It sucks EVERYTHING you have out of
you. You feel hopeless and want to pull your hair out with the thought
of something not being quite right with them. Basically, NO FUN.

I
didn't even want to take Salem out of the house,so I made appetizers
and cake (that I had in the pantry) for Andrew. He ended up with a
vanilla cake with vanilla frosting (can you say BORING), and Tex Mex
Chicken Melts for dinner. He also went out and got himself a Dairy
Queen Blizzard (can you say HEALTHY?). I feel bad for him. I woke up at
4:30 AM to ATTEMPT to make him his favorite(s):Swedish Pancakes; but that definitely
didn't turn out. I thought they would take HOURS, but they only took
minutes, and I still managed to F them up. I ended up waking him up ass
crack early just so he could eat eggs and coffee. Why he puts up with
me; sometimes I just don't know.

Besides all of that, I took
these pictures of him and about wet my pants. There is nothing about
him that makes him look his age. He looks like he isfreakin' celebrating his 12th (Okay, pure exaggeration..maybe not 12, but at most, 18th) birthday. Do you not agree? I also LOOOVVVEEE the look on Salem's face. She's like: "This blows guys. Where's my freakin
' presents? I want it to be my birthday again!" Like father, like
daughter. Andrew made the comment that he was jealous of Salem's All
White Birthday Bash. I thought mothers and daughters got jealous of
each other; not the other way around. Great, I'm really in for it
between the two of them.

Happy Anniversary To US!!!

Andrew and I are celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary today and we couldn't be happier! I uploaded a CRAP TON of our photos because it was THE BEST DAY of my life and I want to share it with you! We are so happy and love "just being together!" The other evening, we were going to have some friends over to watch UFC (are you shocked? Yes, we do still get into it), but decided we would rather watch it together and alone. Aaaahhh, there is nothing more romantic than watching a shit ton of dudes beat the living shit out of each other. Now that I just typed that, I believe I wrote the same thing a year ago today.....WHY?, because we did the same thing last year to celerate our special day!!!

So, this evening, we have reservations at a place in San Antonio called The Vineyard. Feel free to call ahead and pay for our meal, drinks, tip, etc...we know you're all just DYING to do so :)

I love Andrew more than words can describe. He believes in me and supports everything that I do a gazillion and 100 million %. I never thought I would find a man that would love and care for me the way Andrew does. It sounds "LAME-O", but there are many, many, days where I do pinch myself just to make sure this is all for real.

Thank you Andy for being the love of my life. You make my life better and brighter every day. You and Salem are the greatest gifts of all and I wouldn't want life to be different in any other way. Joy fills my heart just waking up next to you every morning. Because of you, I have learned the meaning and feeling of true love.

Here's to 730 days of Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Quinn and the thousands of days of us to come!

I love you.

Baby Swap

Last Friday evening, Andrew and I left Salem with a babysitter for the
first time. In the past, we have only left her with our parents.
Everything went well, besides that fact that we basically had to pay
her an arm and a leg for the evening. How do people afford to do it
every single weekend? We would be broke. So, instead, I came up with a
system with my neighborhood group of friends to do baby swaps! I know
I'm not the genius that invented such a thing, but it is working and
that's all that matters. So, over the weekend, Andrew kicked off the
festivities by babysitting Salem's friend Kaeson and they will return the favor so we can celebrate our anniversary on Monday!!! Hooray! We are all benefitting
from this and not having to dish out any cash for it. The kiddos get to
play, the parents get time to themselves, and every one is happy! It's
a you watch, we watch, you watch, we watch type of thing. We basically
set a calendar out at playgroup, and all the mommies went over it and
marked off days that they could watch in one color ink and days they
wanted to go out in another color. See, simple! Why didn't we ever
think of this before? Plus, it works out perfect because we all live in
the same development and all the kids are only WEEKS apart in age.

BEE AND ME

For Salem's birthday, she received THE coolest gift ever from her boyfriend, Knox. It is a DVD called Bee and Me and it has pictures of Salem throughout the DVD! We watched it last night and every time she would see herself on TV, she would start clapping. Or, when they were looking for her (saying "Where's Salem?"), she would cover her eyes like she was playing peek-a-boo with them. It is very cool and I recommend checking it out. A great gift to give to your children or to a friend. All I had to do was email a picture of Salem to her and then she forwarded it on to them from there. I believe they run right at $30.

Head Scarf Obsession

I just can't seem to get enough of these dang things. Does anyone out
there have the same obsession with them as I do? To this day, my child
doesn't have much hair, so I have to find something to do with her bald
head. I love hats, but Salem doesn't share the same love for them that
I do. I also just invested in this bow/headband system where you can
change the bows out to match with the outfit.....I must say, very
creative! If she would just grow some flippin ' hair, life would be much
easier. On the other hand, maybe not so much. I'll probably be bitching
about it in about 5 years when she gets her first strand or curl. Oh,
the things we do for our girls! I do love the last photo of her and her perfect little head....so sweet!

We tried to keep her off of the POLE.....

but she was stuck to it like a magnet. Our main fear in life has already came true. Just what are we to do? Is this a sign that stripping is in her future? Please help, help, HELP US FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

The other photos are proof of her taking her first steps on her birthday. All of this had taken place during her b-day photo shoot!

It's Fun To Be ONE!!!

I bet you are all releaved that I FINALLY got around to a new post; however, I am lookin' "fly" in my photos and I do love to stare at myself and you should too! We have recently had a TON of guests come in and out of town to ring in the wonderful 1st year of Sweet Baby Salem! Yesterday was her birthday and she celebrated in true Hollywood fashion by having an ALL WHITE BIRTHDAY BASH!! And what a bash it was! A true sight to see! We had group family photos done in the AM followed by the white bash that lasted until wee hours of the night. We served only white food and you had to wear white in order to attend.(A few of our friends didn't read the invite correctly and thought that as long as they had white on, it would cut it...well not in The Quinn book people and next time we expect you to follow directions!)

She was a doll from start to finish and I couldn't ask for a sweeter baby than Salem. I found myself, throughout the entire day, reminiscing the past year of her life. There were months that I HATED at the time (living out of bags in Georgia), but now that I look back on it, they were AMAZING months because we were together as a family. She brings such joy to my life and I didn't want yesterday to end. I cried(what seemed like for hours), over her last night as I held her in my arms after she had fallen asleep. Then, I spent the entire night getting up and down with her because she just wanted her mommy and daddy. It was so sweet! It was like I really did relive the same day 1 year later. She NEVER gets up during the middle of the night anymore, but last night, she just wanted to be with us like she was a baby again. She also never sleeps with us, but when she kept saying "Dada, Dada", all night long, I finally gave up and put her in bed with him. She literally crawled in his arms and slept there for hours with her daddy....no joke! That is also coming from a child her typically will not cuddle.

Overall, everything turned out perfectly. There wasn't even 1 baby that cried or even began to make a fuss at her party. Isn't that CRAZZZY? There were 9 babies total and 17 adults. It was 6 hours of pure fun!

Oh, and Salem started walking on her birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
