Double Oven Fun!

(I really did have 2 things going at the same time; I had just pulled out the bread in the top one:)

I am IN LA-LA-LA-LOVEEEE with my double oven!!!! I can't even begin to explain the way I feel about it. I have guests coming to town today, with a shit tons of things to do; but having a double oven yesterday was a LIFE SAVER. It cuts out so much time and it even makes cooking MORE fun. I already loved to cook, but now, NOW I enjoy it even more....I guess it makes me feel special. The only downside (well for Andrew), is that I'll never be able to go back to just one again. Kinda like the saying..."Once you go black you never go back." Well, that was a crock of shit because that obviously didn't work out for me; being that I am married to the whitest cracker there is out there. Okay, back to what I was saying... Now, I will ALWAYS have to have two.

Please come visit me friends who have a passion for cooking. We can be double oven lovers together! Pumpkin bread with maple sugar glaze and blueberry oat muffins--yum!
I know it's the wrong time of year for the pumpkin, but I couldn't resist the temptation!

Salem and her Boyfriend

I'm so excited about seeing Levi Mommy!

She is getting started early folks...we don't want to support her ass FOREVER. Consider us smart and ahead of the game. These shots are of Salem and her boyfriend Levi. He is the son of some of our friends that were in Korea, Alaska, Georgia and now stationed here with Andrew. Crazy--and he even flies a different jet. I have been going over to their home these past few days doing laundry because I still don't have those whores. I should have known better; they are slutty red which just SCREAMS trouble. They are supposed to be delivered this Thursday; however, I'll believe it when I see it. I've only been waiting on them for a month now. Life will be SO much better when they do decide to come to momma. Until then, I give you two adorable babies: Levi and Salem:

We're trying to flirt here...could you just give us a moment, please!?

Moving Blows

Seriously, moving is THE Biggest Ass pain. I would rather go through child birth for DAYS, rather than unpacking for WEEKS. I swear the boxes keep adding up instead of going away. Why? Why? Then, of course, you have to deal with the husbands that think they know where all the kitchen utensils should go. Does the kitchen pantry really sound like the ideal place to you? We have a shit ton of cabinet space, but he wants it to all go in the pantry...I have NO idea what else to say about that. There comes a point (and we've all been there), where you have to throw your hands up in the air and say "Fuck it, the pantry is THE perfect place! It's so brilliant, that I can't believe I didn't think of that before you did, honey!" I knew I married a Genius!

Moving, I think, puts the entire household in a shitty mood(to include Lilly), that you have to remember to turn EVERY negative situation, into a positive one. You want to just SCREAM at the top of your lungs to your "other half"; but instead, you compliment them on how you really LOVE something they've done, even if you really HATE it. Then, you just go back weeks later after they've long forgotten how great of a thing they've done, and you just go change it to the way you want it!

The lesson is that decorating/putting together a house is such a HUGE compromise. We now have a garage full of things to sell at our Garage Sale coming up. Why didn't any of you point out to me what a jackass I was in some of the shit I used to wear...just months ago. I know I have a different style to begin with, but THESE, THESE things I have come across today are HORRENDOUS. Once again, you just have to throw your hands in the air and say....fuck it!

I didn't think Santa brought broken toys?

Can you say......MADNESS!?

So, yesterday went as expected. The first item brought inside the house from the truck: broken
2nd item: broken
3rd item: shattered
4th item: scratched to all hell.
Right at about that point, I just stopped paying attention and tried focusing on other things. Such as: Where in the heck my Pampered Chef items were! That can always cheer a kitchen lover up; and it did. NONE of that was broken. I think THE most frustrating part about moving is having random stuff brake. For example, 1 of my Pottery Barn bowls was cracked, and then one of the opposite color plates was broken (we have 2 different colored Pottery Barn kitchen sets that match--brown and cream.) I just love them, but am pissed off at the world that I don't have 1 single, complete set now. Goodness!
"What is that I see? Could it be my stonewear..........????"

"Oh, it is, it is my precious!!!!"

I'm having fun seeing "things" again. It's always funny to me that you do forget about stuff you had. It also amazes me when you find something of yours and think to yourself, "What in the hell was I thinking buying that and keeping it around for YEARS!"

Oh, and finding the most random crap that the packers box up is drop dead HILARIOUS to me. Ours happened to pack up the microwave and oven racks from our home in Alaska. What in the heck were THEY thinking? Gee, thanks for packing up the Taco Bell hot sauce...can't forget that!

I still PROMISE, PROMISE, PROMISE to post photos of the house. It just looks so BLAH right now and isn't up to my standards. I'll see what I can do. Until then, I better get to work on the house while everyone else is counting sheep in their sleep..... I need to get in on that one of these days...probably NEVER by the looks of this place!

In case you were wondering, the broken items were: our china cabinet, Andrew's antique pieces: bar and buffet. I seriously sheded tears over them because they are my FAVORITE pieces that we owned and I feel that they irreplaceable. He was able to "somewhat" fix his bar; minus all the scratches and the buffet is cracked to hell. Our china cabinet literally fell into pieces. You can't even find the words to properly describe the feeling when you see your valuables destroyed like that. Disappointing, to say the least.

"All this makes me want to nap on Daddy!"

Christmas in March!

Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse....except for my crazy ass up at 2:00 am because I couldn't sleep. I literally feel like a little kid again who can't sleep the night before Christmas because she can't wait to get her dirty little hands on all those gifts from Santa. Mine, on the other hand, happens to be my:
HOUSEHOLD GOODS, PEEPS! Yes, it is true, after 7 long months of not having "my things", I will finally get to see them ALL (and then some), today!!!

I must mention that instead of only invisioning sugarplums dancing in my head, I just went straight for it. As I type, I am inhaling a cream filled dohnut of some sort along with an extra spiced chai tea. I know some of you wouldn't believe it (you know who you are), so I even got a shot to prove. It is MINE. Andrew is in bed (where I should be) and Salem only wishes she could have a bite of something so tasty ( she is sleeping too!)

I just love how my ipod cord is hanging out the back of the dohnut. I'll be needing that damn thing soon to work off my breakfast!
Lilly girl giving sister a kiss!

play, play, play with her princess phone and then out moments later:)

7 month old Salem

Today, Salem is now 7 months old. I cannot believe it. I say that with each passing month. I promise to post pictures of the new house, but right now everything looks cluttered because we still don't have our household goods to put the things that we do have, away. Do you catch me? But, Salem is more important, and I know you would rather see shots of her on any given day: ENJOY!!
I must also add that Salem is fully sitting up on her own now, waving hello and goodbye ( TO EVERYONE she comes in contact with), and using some of the sign language I'm teaching her little by little--more, all done, and thank you! She is my smart, big cookie!
My 2 favorite people in the WHOLE World!

I'll catch you up on the entire month of complete ASS PAIN

Where do I even begin? This month has been CRAZY. From getting my tooth pulled, bridges put in to replace the empty hole, tonsils taken out, oh, and like MOVING--AGAIN in the middle of it all....I swear to goodness. I think I just about had a panic attack or nervous breakdown the other night when it all caught up to me. It'll be easier for me to explain if I do it this way:

*Last Saturday, Andrew drove the Toureg out with the trailer.
* One week ago, baby and I flew in to San Antonio. She threw up on the guy sitting in front of us, threw up 2 more times, and went through all 3 of her outfits. Why didn't I think to bring a spare set for myself? I should have learned that lesson by now.
* Same day, Andrew went and purchased a mattress so we would have something to sleep on.
* Next morning, Andrew flew back to Georgia to drive my 4Runner out.
* Same day, 2 workers tried to just walk in my house without knocking to replace something--Lilly freaked.
*Same day, some solicitor got PISSED at me because I wouldn't help her out by buying $98's worth of fucking magazines..go "F" yourself lady. We live in a gated community and her ass shouldn't have even been doing that shit.
* Oh yeah, $1,200 mattress is killing my back and also did Andrew's the one night he slept on it.
* Our household goods from Alaska aren't here yet. They anticipate the end of the month.
* I've been running all over town trying to find a feather bed that would make our backs feel better--can't seem to find one and 3 returns later.... we are taking the damn bed back and getting a better one TODAY!
* This Saturday, Andrew made it in...life is getting better!
* The ENTIRE time he was gone, I didn't get a wink of sleep. We have houses going up to the front, back and both sides of us and everyone knew that I was by myself with the baby. Do you understand how many workers that is? I was literally scared for us.
* Our dishwasher doesn't work.
* Saturday our shower backed up and overflowed...rock stuck in the pipe--Andrew fixed it by plunging the damn thing for an hour.
* We ordered a washer and dryer last week, but they can't deliver it until the end of this week. It has been hell not having one....let me tell you.

Other than ALL that bitching, life is GREAT! I understand that our house is brand spanking new and things do go wrong. My expectations were too high, so when I did find things wrong, I felt like I couldn't handle it.

On a happier note, baby is doing LOTS better and I have found a new love.... The San Marcos Outlets People!!!!! On Saturday, I found a king sized bed(headboard, foot board, etc.) for only $200 at POTTERY BARN and we got a 10 person dinning table there for $500!! I am in heaven!!

I promise to post some photos by tomorrow. Right now everything just looks like a huge mess because we don't have all of our things to get organized.

All right, I need to go order the bed we should have bought to begin with. It is a Vera Wang ("The Promise") mattress. Hello Andrew... just the sound of that sounds better than the "Sealy Pillow top" we have. I would have bought the Vera Wang one to begin with just so I could say that we sleep on a Vera Wang bed-duh! Oh, and it's pink--even better!!

"NANA, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?"

Love you Nana!!! Can't wait to see you in Texas in a few weeks!!

Salem LOVES to talk on the phone to her NANA!!!! Her face just lights up with joy every time she hears her voice. I had to get pictures of her yesterday to show my mom how excited she gets.
